I was always keen not to invade inboxes too often when I first started to create these newsletters. I curate my own subscriptions carefully. Therefore, I planned these missives to be at the most, monthly. Even then, I planned to miss out January and August. Yet here I am in January for the second year in a row. The unsubscribe button is at the bottom of this email and I bear you no ill will if you use it.
But I feel compelled to say thank you for your continued support. Christmas 2025 was my most prolific season ever. I attended 22 events in a month, and found myself energised by each and every one of them. It made me feel young again.
I distinctly remember the year I turned 17 midway through my A’ Level preparations. I was involved in so many choirs, drama societies and multiple other performing side hustles that I gave 21 performances during advent. It was exhilarating. A light bulb moment that pointed the way forward. This festive period felt like the culmination of that dream.
And what celebrations I have witnessed. 1,700 people filling the Hintze Hall at the Natural History Museum , seeing Hope the Blue Whale reverberate with an astonishing live band. A repeat performance at Claridge’s Hotel to be greeted by shouts and applause from bankers as I made their £20 notes disappear. International companies and intimate family get togethers have stood hand in hand. The joy I have witnessed never grows old.
So this is just a brief note to say how grateful I am that you trust me to bring an added dose of amazement and joy to your life’s special moments. January is already exceeding expectations and there are plans afoot to innovate further in 2026. I look forward to sharing these new ideas with you.
But only one a month.
